The living workshop

Tools of Discovery

I build instruments that make knowledge easier to inspect, question, and carry between systems. These are two public, agent-facing experiments in structured symbolic data.

A useful pattern

Input

Questions and source data

Instrument

Typed tools and explicit interfaces

Output

Records people can inspect

Public source, specific claims

The instruments

Built code is shown as built code. Archived repositories are historical source, not claims of a hosted service.

Symbol Ontology MCP

An MCP-facing Rust workspace for querying symbols, categories, and curated sets through a structured ontology.

What is in the source

  • Typed domain model
  • MCP client interface
  • Database-backed queries

What it produces

Symbol records and relationships that an agent can request as structured data.

Symbols Awakening MCP

A second public implementation of symbol access, with MCP tools, a REST surface, and CSV import and export paths.

What is in the source

  • MCP tools
  • REST API
  • CSV exchange

What it produces

Inspectable symbol collections and portable CSV data rather than opaque chat-only answers.

Engineering proof

The same care extends beyond agent tools.

Rust Core War is a separate systems project: an assembler, virtual machine, and terminal battle visualizer. It demonstrates compiler and execution work; it is not presented here as an agent instrument or a creation of either symbol tool.

For a different kind of discovery: inspect instruction execution and memory behavior in a shared arena.

More work is still in development. This page stays limited to public, inspectable evidence; a repository is proof of an implementation, not proof of a live hosted service.
